An intellectual, cultural, and drop-in center to help all first-year students have a successful and inspiring first year.

There's something for every first-year student at the Tat! You can:

  • Attend one of the many interesting programs that include film, theater, and discussion.
  • Ask the Center's student staff anything! They're well-seasoned Cornellians with loads of invaluable "insider" information.
  • Check out the different art exhibits.
  • Talk to a professional about adjusting to Cornell, relationship issues, family problems, sexual health concerns, depression, anxiety, stress, or any other problem big or small.
  • Meet with your TA or study group.
  • Grab a cappuccino or a bit to eat at Carol's Cafe.
  • Break the ice! Meet professors during our Coffee Houses in the Majors.
  • Take advantage of the Center's on-site laptop lending service or NetPrint.
  • Chat with a financial aid guru!
  • Meet with your study group in one of the Center’s comfy spaces.

...And that’s just for starters!

Check our website regularly.
